Drills, Technique & Conditioning
Learn the foundations of bellydance and tribal bellydance. Hone, refine and expand your dance technique and vocabulary with drills, muscular isolations/breakdowns and conditioning exercises to prepare and strengthen the body. Learn about the culture and lineage and bellydance and tribal style from your passionate teacher Laura Entwined. These classes suit all levels and are beginner friendly. Through these classes, Laura hopes to see you build strength, flexibility, coordination and expanded movement ability in your body, provide a strong technical foundation for bellydance, create connection to community, tribe, body, soul and mind, and hopefully ignite a fire in your belly for middle eastern dance which turns into a devotion which goes on for many years.

Combinations & Choreography
These classes will weave together technique, foot patterns, arm pathways and movements learned in drills, technique and conditioning classes. Please note, Drills, Technique and Conditioning are a pre-requisite for attending these classes, or proven prior experience with Entwined. Please note, we are working on performances for our upcoming End of Year Showcase Folklore to Faery Dust, Sunday 16 December at 24Moons, Northcote. If you do not wish to perform, but want to learn the choreography you are welcome to attend for the term but please note, you may be asked to work around performance troupe/formation as required to prepare for our end of year performance. Through these choreography classes, Laura hopes to build on a strong technique foundation, and provide an opportunity to challenge the mind and body, increase coordination, peripheral vision, memory and spatial awareness dancing in troupe; provide context and an opportunity to connect with middle eastern dance and music on a more emotional level; as well as build understanding, sisterhood, respect and empathy with your fellow dancers and tribe.
